Upcoming Events & Announcements

Season Opens September 5 -- FIRST will be posting rules and missions for this year's competition on September 5, so be sure to check the FLL website and download the details..  www.firstlegoleague.org 

Qualifying Tournament Hosts Needed -- We need approximately 20 Qualifying Tournaments to be held throughout the state for 16 - 24 teams.  If you are interested in hosting one, email flrobotics@gmail.com for details.  Hosting teams will automatically be invited to compete in a Regional Tournament.

Qualifying Tournament Registration -- Registration will open on October 1 at www.flrobotics.org 


Funding Opportunities

AIAA -- Robotics Grants
 
Grants will be made for up to $100 per team for participation in robotics competitions. The AIAA Foundation should be acknowledged as a team sponsor. A maximum one-time grant of up to $200 (two Educator Associate members) will be granted to each school for participation in a robotics competition. http://www.aiaa.org/content.cfm?pageid=244 (You have to join AIAA as an Educator Associate, but it is free.)

Rockwell Collins FLL Grants
Teacher Awards -- Cash Teacher Awards will be presented at the end of the FLL season to Brevard area teachers who meet specific objectives in support of their teams.  Application for these awards will be online in January but will require you to meet the objectives during the season.  Download Teacher Award Requirements.
