Space Coast Section SWE welcomes everyone to our meetings. See the calendar for times and places. Membership in SWE is open to both individuals and companies who support the goals of the organization.

WHY JOIN SPACE COAST SECTION SWE?

Are you worried about possible job loss or looking for career advancement? Then now is the time to increase your networking to increase your visibility of the "informal" job market. You can do this by attending meetings to network with other members or by working on a committee that provides opportunities to interact with companies in the local area. Your job skills could be enhanced by attending the Professional Development Seminars we hold each spring. The Professional Development Committee is working to bring a wide variety of interesting topics at monthly meetings.

Are you concerned about the quality of science education being provided for young women in the area? Your involvement in the Introducing Girls to Engineering Workshop would help provide one small step toward helping girls become more familiar with hands on science experiments. You can volunteer to help coach a FIRST LEGO League robotics team or help out at our Robotics Summer Camp for Girls. The section is also has a Scholarship Program to award scholarships to local women pursuing degrees in engineering, computer science or math. In addition, we provide scholarship opportunities for girls to attend Camp KSC, a one week summer day camp program.

The Region Conference and the National Conference provide opportunities for additional professional development and networking. There are also opportunities to present technical papers at the National Conference as well as an extensive career fair.
