SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
SPACE COAST SWE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The
Space
Coast Section of Society of Women Engineers announces our annual Scholarship Program.
The SWE Scholarship Programs are broadcast to Brevard, Indian River and
Volusia high school Science Specialists and Guidance Counselors in the Fall.
One or more scholarships will be awarded annually to graduating high
school women residing and schooling in the counties of Brevard, Indian River and
Volusia who select majors in engineering, mathematics and/or computer science.
This scholarship will be awarded based on scholarship
merit, and demonstrated leadership". Invitation is hereby extended
to apply.

Application
due date is January 31. Scholarships
will be awarded at our annual Space Coast Section SWE Women Engineer Awards
Banquet in February.
Teachers:
Enter a drawing for a prize by writing a letter of reference for an applicant
for our SWE Space Coast Scholarship Program. Check out the information

The national SWE organization was founded in 1950 and has an
international membership of more than 16,000 women. The objectives of the
organization are focused on expanding the participation of women in the field of
engineering. In pursuit of these objectives SWE conducts a number of programs
for young women to make them and their parents aware of the engineering
opportunities for women and the achievements of women in the various engineering
disciplines.
As part of its national educational
activities, SWE administers over 100 individual scholarship awards annually,
varying in amount from $1000 to over $5,000 per year and totaling more than
